Come and enjoy an afternoon of learning the beginning techniques of quilting. Learn how to use rulers, rotary cutting and easy piecing with the right seam allowance. This class is especially designed for the beginner or confident beginner. Learn the basics and you will become a confident quilter.

Skill Details: | In the beginning quilt class, you will learn about quilting rules, tools, tricks and how fun it is to cut up fabric, sew them back together again to make beautiful, one of a kind, quilts. You will practice cutting fabric with a rotary cutter and mat, the essential 1/4 seam and finally make a basic quilt block. We hope this class will be the beginning of a passion for quilting. You will be sewing. |

Requirements: | Please bring a piece of 100% cotton fabric, thread, scissors and an excitement to quilt, all other supplies provided |

Instructor Bio: | Terry has been part of the quilting industry since forever, okay at least 25 years. She has written several quilt books published by Martingale & Company/That Patchwork Place and had a great opportunity to also work for the Martingale for many years. She is an active member of Stray Threads, a local quilt guild. She lectures, teaches and has a passion for quilting. |
